Getting Healthier in 2011 – October Health Goal Wrap-up
Getting Healthier is my goal, and the goal of this site. I don’t want to be the Always Sick Chick, but the Rarely Sick Chick. That, however, takes some work and discipline, and it’s not always easy. In fact, it’s rarely easy. My health goals for October were basically met with one exception: I didn’t more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – October Health Goals
Since starting my “Getting Healthier in 2011″ series, I have accomplished the following goals for my health: Getting allergies under control – I used to have allergy attacks on a very regular basis. Now they only come rarely…very rarely! Lost 10 lbs of body fat, and people are noticing! Heck yeah! Elimination of acid reflux more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – August Health Goal Wrap Up
For a really lousy month, August sure did fly by fast. I was in horrible pain for most of the month, and tired, and then we all got the stomach flu. Miraculously, though, I managed to stick with my August Health Goals pretty well. Health Goals for August 2011 Continue taking supplements daily – once more
My Twisted Ankle Sprain
I’m such a friggin clutz, and if you read my facebook or twitter posts this morning, you already know what I’m talking about- my twisted ankle. You know what really makes this story funny? I rolled my foot and twisted my ankle right after scolding our kids to stop playing on the stairs because, “Someone more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – August Health Goals
As I posted yesterday, this blog is all about getting healthier to live a better life. Last month, I didn’t achieve all of my health goals, but I did okay and actually achieved one that I decided against trying because I thought it was too much to put on my plate – I reduced my more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – July Health Goal Wrap-up
The point of this blog – Always Sick & Tired – is all about getting healthier. Part of it is about losing weight, which goes together with getting healthier (unless you’re too skinny, which isn’t a problem that I have), but mostly it’s about feeling better, boosting mood and energy, feeling well rested and building more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – June Health Goal Wrap-up & July Health Goals
I usually do my wrap-up at the beginning of every month, but here it is, the 12th, and I have yet to do my wrap-up or create new health goals for July. If my goal is “getting healthier”, then I’m seriously behind this month. I also seriously lapsed on my June health goals shortly after more
Physical Therapy for Shoulder Blade Pain, Upper Back & Neck Pain
I started physical therapy last week for my shoulder blade pain – a pain that keeps recurring behind my right shoulder blade, or scapula, in addition to my neck and shoulders. First, let me just say that the physical therapists in the office are awesome. Not only do they know what they are doing, the more
Getting Healthier in 2011 – June Health Goals
Getting healthier this year is my number 1 goal. If I can get healthier, I figure everything else will fall into place. I will become a better wife and mother, have more energy to do the things that I need and want to accomplish, and just improve my quality of life dramatically. It is my more
My Shoulder Blade Pain…it just got worse…
I already posted awhile back that I have some pretty bad shoulder blade pain…it’s all in my upper back, between the shoulder blades. It happens without warning, usually when I wake up in the morning. I attribute it to sleeping funny or because one of my kids crawled into bed with us and I had more
