Christmas cookies came to our house early this year courtesy of Enjoy Life Foods.
They went so quickly that I didn’t even have a chance to take pictures of the cookies, or the cookie boxes, before they were all gone.
I wasn’t even the first one to try them, even though they were addressed to me…ahem. Yes, I went out to watch Breaking Dawn at the theater (yes, I know…shut up…I don’t want to hear it) to find the cookie boxes out of the shipping box, on the counter, and opened.
My husband opened each of the 4 boxes of crunchy Enjoy Life Cookies and tried one cookie from each box. When I “confronted” him about this (playfully, of course), he said, “Yes! And, for your information, they were DELICIOUS!” My husband has no food allergies or food sensitivities, mind you, and he thought they were absolutely heavenly.
Seeing as they were already opened, and I already received a rave review from my husband, my friend and I decided to immediately try the cookies even thought it was after 10 PM and we probably shouldn’t be consuming sugary treats so close to going to bed. It would’ve been rude to not try them at that exact moment based on the rave review we received from my husband. Actually, we were more concerned that he would eat all of them before morning if we didn’t try them immediately.
There are four tasty versions of the Enjoy Life Crunchy cookies, and I tried ALL OF THEM within a span of about 10 minutes.
I started with the Double Chocolate cookies, because, as I said before, I’m a bit of a chocoholic. Instant win. I think I moaned a little when I first tasted it.
The Sugar Cookies and Vanilla Honey were okay. The Sugar Cookies were too sugary, and while I like Honey, the Honey taste in the Vanilla Honey was a bit strong for my taste.
But then the regular chocolate chip cookies came around, and they were DELICIOUS!
My next task was to determine which I liked better – The Double Chocolate or the Chocolate Chip. This task would take several more taste tests before I was able to determine that they were equally good depending on just how severe the chocolate craving was.
That and I had to make a decision at that point because my husband confiscated the boxes amid muffled protests from me….muffled because my mouth was full of chocolatey goodness.
The joke was on him, though, because I finished those cookies for breakfast the next morning before he woke up.
So, yeah…I totally recommend these Enjoy Life Foods Crunchy Cookies – Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free and pretty much food allergen free and artificial ingredient free.
In fact, I’m getting a hankering for them again. Whole Foods, here I come!
