Smoking can kill you. You know that, right?
So then, why are you still smoking?
My husband says it’s because of stress. When he’s not stressed, it’s because he’s worried he’ll gain too much weight because smoking burns so many calories and he’ll eat more if he’s not smoking.
Blah blah blah…excuses excuses…
I get it. Really, I do. It’s irritating, but I understand it. At my worst, I crave something to take the edge off…a bottle of liquor, a cup of coffee, a cigarette… I only indulge on the 2nd, though I shouldn’t even go there.
If I didn’t have asthma and allergies, I’d probably be a smoker as well. If alcohol hadn’t nearly destroyed my life, I would probably drink.
I watched my grandfather get sicker and sicker because he refused to quit smoking. He would cough like he was going to break a rib and pass out. My father has been a severe smoker for as long as I can remember. He now has sleep apnea. My husband seems to be healthier than I am, though he smokes, but I know it’s only a matter of time if he doesn’t quit.
It also just makes him stink, and I don’t want him around me after he’s smoked. It gives me a headache. He doesn’t want to smoke, and he’s tried quitting several times. He’s been successful for a little while, but he always goes back to it. The last few times he attempted it, he went cold turkey, and failed miserably.
A lot of people think they can just quit and be done with it. That might work for some people, but most people need a little assistance. I wish my husband would try nicotine gum or a patch or some other stop smoking aid so he could gradually wean himself off of the nicotine addiction.
There are many ways to quit smoking, but you can easily spend a lot of money on different stop smoking aids and get no where. That’s why I’m going to try to convince my husband to take advantage of the free 30 day supply of Cigarrest which includes nicotine gum, vitamins to help repair cell damage caused by smoking, and an audio CD for tips on how to avoid smoking in different situations.
Oooh, free steak knives? Really? And money savings on travel?
Talk about sweetening the deal! Wow. I might just order it without asking my husband about it and just act surprised when it arrives in the mail.
Okay, that won’t work if he happens to read this blog post…
But I’m going to ask him if he’s ready to quit smoking send him the link and let him decide for himself, because you can’t push someone to quit. They have to want to quit.
If you’re trying to quit smoking or have thought about smoking but don’t know where to start, try the Ciggarest Reviews 30-day trial for free and see if it works for you. No risk, just potential benefits of quitting smoking.
Very good article well written. I myself gave up smoking in 1982. People used to say to me if you give up you will put on loads of weight. Well that did not happen. As I decided to take up Martial Arts. I am so happy I gave up all those years ago and would never like to smoke again. If you really want to quit, you will need to have a lot of will power.
