Do you remember the Scrubs episode where Elliot gives herself a make-over?
Well, it got me to thinking, how do doctors and nurses express themselves fashionably and creatively while remaining professional and following safety and health regulations?
Take a surgeon, for example. If she has long hair, she has to wear those embarrassing bonnets. I remember having to wear one during my c-section with our first kid. That was definitely not the fashion statement I wanted to make, especially since I was already a bloated whale in a spotted white gown.
I only had to wear that for a day. But the doctors and nurses have to wear similar get-ups on a daily basis. They’re stuck with boring colors and fits that are basically unflattering to their figures (and we know that everyone’s figure is different, so even a uniform, like scrubs, should compliment your figure if that is important to you).
Enter custom scrubs for women. Blue Sky Scrubs hand tailors scrubs to order, creating a custom fit and will even sew pockets where you want and need them the most. Not only can these custom made scrubs be more flattering to the figure, they are more comfortable on your body, making it easier to do what you do best – treat your patients.
Some of the pants are even sewn in such a way that they look like blue jeans at first glance. How cute is that?!
In addition to custom scrubs, they also make these absolutely adorable and gorgeous scrub hats for women.
Look at those and try to tell me that they aren’t so adorable that you wish you’d gone to medical school just so you could have an excuse to wear one.
If you’re a doctor or a nurse and you’re looking for some new, comfy scrubs (I’ve never worn any, but they look so comfortable!) that are flattering and workable, try out Blue Sky Scrubs for Women (they have scrubs for men too, just an FYI) – http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/
This post is brought to you by Blue Sky Scrubs and is a paid review. All opinions are mine, and yes, I really do think that those scrub hats are the bomb, and I’m thinking of buying a set of those scrubs just to wear around the house because they look so darn comfortable!
On a side note, speaking of Scrubs the TV show, if J.D. was my doctor, I’d probably be sick much more often. He is so sexy!
