Medical scrubs can be CUTE!

Do you remember the Scrubs episode where Elliot gives herself a make-over?

Well, it got me to thinking, how do doctors and nurses express themselves fashionably and creatively while remaining professional and following safety and health regulations?

Take a surgeon, for example.  If she has long hair, she has to wear those embarrassing bonnets.  I remember having to wear one during my c-section with our first kid.  That was definitely not the fashion statement I wanted to make, especially since I was already a bloated whale in a spotted white gown.

I only had to wear that for a day.  But the doctors and nurses have to wear similar get-ups on a daily basis.  They’re stuck with boring colors and fits that are basically unflattering to their figures (and we know that everyone’s figure is different, so even a uniform, like scrubs, should compliment your figure if that is important to you).
