Suicide Prevention Week: The Terry Wise Story

When things seem so bleak and hopeless, there is always a light at the end of it all.

In this case, Terry Wise, a suicide attempt survivor, tells her story of loss – loss of her husband, loss of her love for herself, loss of her will to live.  But it’s also a message of hope, because it can all be turned around if you just reach out and seek out the help you need.

I love the beginning of the film when she says that we can always control our reaction to what happens around us, even when we can’t control what happens to us in this world.
