As peanut allergies become more prominent, more and more places are accommodating peanut allergic individuals.
Airplanes have peanut and nut free flights for passengers who have severe anaphylaxis.
Indoor playgrounds are deemed “Peanut Free Zones”.
Some schools have banned peanuts and all peanut products, while others have a peanut free section inside the cafeteria to keep the peanut allergic children safer.
And now Fenway Park, home of the Boston Redsox (also the city where both of my peanut allergic children were born), is accommodating peanut allergic baseball fans by giving them an entire section just for them during Redsox games.
So the fans who can’t have their baseball without peanuts and cracker jacks can still have their traditional baseball game treats while still keeping peanut allergic fans safe from the shells, dust, protein inhalation, and skin contact with oils.
It’s a good day for the peanut allergic. Thanks, Fenway!
I just love Boston and Fenway! Great Idea
Take care,
Janet
