It pays to waste time on Facebook sometimes.
I became a fan of the NeilMed Facebook fan page awhile back because I heard they were giving away a free neti pot to everyone who joined up.
Well, I received my NeilMed NasaFLO Neti Pot in the mail yesterday, complete with two sinus rinse packets.
They claim to be the #1 Selling Neti Pot, developed by Ketan C. Mehta, M.D. I haven’t tried this particular Neti Pot (I have a Walgreens brand one that I’ve had mixed results with), but I’m a little concerned about the spout size and shape…not sure that would fit…even in MY big nose.
Neti Pots work by gently cleansing out congested nasal passages of gunk (you know, snot) and pollutants, allergens, and other irritants that invade the nose and cause nasty symptoms. By mixing a special sinus cleanse with warm water and using the neti pot to administer the mixture, it gently loosens and removes all of the above offenders.
At least, that’s the idea of the neti pot. Some people say it works great, and others hate it. For me, sometimes it helps, and other times it just burns. So, as I said, I’ve had mixed results with neti pots in general. But I still highly recommend them, as, more often than not, they do help.
But we shall see sooner or later (later rather than sooner, as I don’t care to get sick any time soon), and if it’s just awful or the best I’ve ever tried, I will do a review of it here
Question: Did you get your free Neti Pot from NeilMed? If you’ve tried it, what did you think?
