If you’ve seen the April 25th issue of “Woman’s World” magazine cover, you’ll see the adorable William and Kate, the royal couple who will be wed tomorrow at Westminster Abbey in London, England.
The cover says “Eat like Kate and lose up to 8 lbs in 3 days!”, and that’s not even healthy, by the way! When you turn to page 18, you read, “Wish you had a fairy-tale figure?” Oh, Puh-leeze!!
Stop me if you’ve heard this one.
If you want to lose weight, you should:
*Smacks Forehead* Oh my Gawd, why didn’t I think of that?
So, what’s so special about this diet?
She’s so darn skinny, and she looks great, so everyone wants to look like her.
Plus, she’s marrying Prince William. Maybe if we eat like her, we can marry princes too.
Let’s get real.
Let’s talk about why she’s really so skinny.
She’s a Princess-to-be, which means…she’s LOADED. What this article DOES NOT cover is the fact that the Kate Middleton diet is easy for Kate Middleton because Kate Middleton has:
Now, I’m not hating on Kate Middleton. She seems like a lovely young woman, and she’s blessed to have all of these things that I wish I could have as well. I don’t envy her, well, maybe I do just a little bit. But I don’t hate her because she has what I don’t have.
All I’m saying is that we should take this with some perspective. It’s easy for Kate Middleton to stick with her royal wedding diet, the diet that Dr. Oz and other doctors and nutritionists have been pushing for YEARS (so calling it a secret is some serious false advertising), because she has the money to buy good food (or rather, hire someone to buy her good food), with people to cook and clean for her while she works out several hours every day to look fit and super skinny.
I will say this, though. The Kate Middleton diet is definitely healthier than anything Demi Moore has tried lately. What was that detox concoction she came up with? I seem to remember it combined lemon juice and cayenne pepper… Gross, Demi. Just, gross…
My heartfelt congratulations to the happy couple, even if your dream wedding is paid for by the strapped British taxpayers who can barely afford their own personal expenses. It’s good to be royalty.

Just FYI – this Royal Wedding was paid for by the Royal Family as was the case with Princess Di’s wedding too.
Julia – if that’s the case, then Woman’s World magazine owes an explanation and possibly a retraction as well.
“With strapped British taxpayers footing much of the bill, this time, Westminster Abbey (which seats 2,000) was chosen over St. Paul’s Cathedral (which seats 3,500).”
April 25th issue of Woman’s World, pg 19.
Even if it were the case that the British taxpayers were footing the bill, look at all the tourism because of the royal wedding! I watched it on T.V. here in Arizona and it was a sea of people! I have been to London and I really enjoyed the people, the beautiful city, etc. and my husband and I, after seeing the wedding, are longing for another trip back! Plus, they used British designers, and other merchants as well. I think they did what was right. You can’t say as much for most people…royal or not! People shouldn’t expect those in a higher capacity to behave any different than common folks should to each other. Just my opinion.
Well – dunno. I now keep coming up with only one sort of reliable media source (BBC America) who says that the Queen pays for most, Prince Charles as well and even the Middleton family made a significant contribution. The taxpayer fronts up for the security bill which is to be sure – quite hefty.
Julia – I would agree that BBC is a more reliable source for news than Woman’s World, especially considering a lot of the information I’ve found in the recent issue. It’s truly laughable looking at all of it, actually. lol
La Vonda – I can see how the increased tourism would be a justification, to a point. I definitely see your side of it. There are two sides of the coin, and both sides have compelling arguments.
ANYONE can lose weight on a crash diet. I think it’s unrealistic to think it will be a lifestyle that can be maintained long term though!
Lisa – I couldn’t maintain a crash diet for more than half a day if I tried! lol I would lose my friggin mind. I think it’s crazy to even attempt it, and they say it’s unhealthy too, right?
And I agree – It’s impossible to maintain it. You can’t go on living like that forever. I mean, I’m sure she ate some wedding cake, right? lol
I will admit, it’s tempting to go on a crash diet when I have this belly fat and the comments from people who think I am pregnant. However, I know it will make me sicker and even more exhausted. It’s not worth it.
