Do you or a loved one have food allergies?
Does eating at a restaurant cause anxiety for fear of cross contamination or a mix up in the kitchen which may result in a food allergic or anaphylactic reaction?
Do you avoid restaurants entirely for fear of your food allergies?
Right now, legislation is being proposed on what exactly would classify a restaurant as being “Food Allergy Friendly”. What’s more, you have the opportunity to have a say in what would make a restaurant a “Food Allergy Friendly Restaurant”. But you have to act fast.
Place a comment on the above blog post, or send an e-mail to tell them what knowledge and safety practices a food allergy friendly restaurant would need to have to cater to the food allergic community.
Also, you can join as a free member of the site here: http://www.allergyeats.com/membership.php Just, please, as a favor, tell them that I sent you there. Where it says “How did you hear about us?” select “Food Allergy/Gluten Free Blog” and put http://www.alwayssick.com where it says “specify”.
I don’t really know if this site will reap any benefits from this, but if there are any, I’d really appreciate it. I could use all the promotion I could get. Thanks!
